Its getting Springier!

This thread just about sums up the meaning of 'springier'. Meaningless at the beginning of March. Here we are in the middle of May and it is still not really any 'springier' than back then. Diary here then and the same now?

Weather should become more bee-friendly shortly, but that is the usual unpredictive UK weather - some don't think any further than the instant. Happy days, queen rearing sensible weather will arrive shortly for most of us. Those jumping in earlier will likely be experiencing some early supercedures. But nevermind.
 
Anything has got to be better than the hailstorm that flattened my spuds.
Asparagus escaped, luckily :)

My spuds were frosted in early May - they were under cloches (!).. Recovered now...The beech hedge was scorched. And all my bee trees as well...
 
I had some young potted sycamores scorched, 2 climbers killed, & a magnolia ruined, happened a couple of weeks ago, i think it was an icy wind one night.
