Hi Ismael. Whereabouts on the S Turkey Mediterranean coast are you? I used to sail a lot in that area. Some lovely spots but really hot and dry in the Summer. Great hospitality. Great times!

Great! And no maize, soy and similar stuff which occupy all the land here with unlimited pesticide usage. I wish to keep bees in the wilderness.

some (a little indelicate) questions:
1. What is the average productivity per colony?
2. What is the wholesale honey price in Turkey if there is any?

In the hot region in the south, it is about 15 kilos, so little, but the aroma in honey is too much. In the north, since chestnut linden is very much, around 20 kg. The preces is betwen 10 $ -30$

They say "excluder", queen excluder.

From what is that orange pollen?

By the way, I wrote your info about the honey price in our forum, and someone said that Turkish beekeepers use feeders during the whole year :blush5: Nevertheless I think it's better than not use feeders and sell honey for 0,9-1$ :winner1st:

I also have citrus trees. And bees really like them :D
