just quish it all up and place it in a containter on top of the crown board or could i just set it all on top of the frames and let them at it,the hive it came from has plenty of stores, would it be fine to give to another hive?

Hi Darren
It does look like Ivy. Provided your happy taking the risk of infection, I'd feed it back, although I'm always wary of getting Ivy into spring honey because of the strong potential for tainting the taste.
Watch out for the Aurora tonight!

Yes. Put it on toast.

there might have been apiguard trays in when they were making this, i honestly cant remember though.
i'll just feed it back to one of the lighter hives i think, i did take a big bite of it though and its quare strong stuff:) i will try and get a few frames of it next year to eat myself.

Apigard would affect the flavour, but its not supposed to be harmful.

I think when RAB said feed it back to them, was fee it to the hive the comb came from. Don't put it on top of the frames as the bees may make fresh comb above and around it and make a real mess, put it above the crown broad and the bees should take it down.
