OK, this is why I should't be doing this stuff after a sixteen hour day...

Basically I have a colony with some DWV which is now being Apiguard-ed.

After I pulled all supers, I extracted everything and dumped into a bucket with a view to finding out later what to do with both all that stufff, and also with those combs.

Mixing up 20l of 2:1 syrup just now, I've gone and chucked in about 1l of the DWV colony stuff. Silly mistake, I just picked up the wrong bucket out of tiredness.

Do I just chuck the whole lot now and start again?

Would it be very foolish to feed to my five colonies ?

Same apiary and all colonies healthy then feed it to the bees.

Thank you, thank you, thank you !

Yes, same apiary. This is the only colony that has any sign of DWV or anythig at all untoward, and it wasn't an infestation. Just want to nip it in the bud and had intended to treat this week anyhow.

And so to bed.

DWV is spread by varroa mostly. I do not know how well it survives outside any host. sure there are papers about this. a quick boil might kill them off. you got the sugar degradation problems then of course.
