Not a good picture but this swarm was 1-2" thick in places, it took well over an hour to get the majority into the nuc. It seemed at times as fast as I carefully removed them from the wall and put them on the floor and watched them run into the nuc just as many came back from scouting trips or emerged from the air brick.

The video of this swarm is in the video section on this site. FYI - I'm just uploading another video to Utube of a small cast I collected today which is about half the size of the swarm in the pictures above.

Half way up my ladder I realised that I would be needing a much bigger cardboard box!

last nights swarn is this a prime or cast

Does it really matter? Wait a week and you will know.

Without any better information, you are only getting guesses so the result will be inconclusive, to say the least.

I could suggest looking for a marked queen, but I would not be bothering to do that.
