Introduced a mated queen in a queen cage on Tuesday. Checked today and the cage is empty and so assume the queen was released.
How long could it be to see evidence of her laying? (assuming they don't kill her off)

You could see eggs straight away. However, if she came through the post, she may have been out of the hive for up to a week. If so, she'll have lost condition and may take a few days to return to egg laying. Thats assuming she has been accepted.

I don't check release for at least 6 days and more often a week. Be patient. Check in another 4 days or so and possibly insert a test frame with eggs/BIAS if you have one to encourage new q to get cracking.
