It sounds nice and even but whats the cost of your 1x 1lb jar and lid compared to your 2x half pound jars and lids? For the same amount of honey?

Thats academic if thats the way i want to package it...but if you must know the essentials each jar with lid and including labels = 37p thus meaning if I sell at £3 ea then the honey inside ( actual price £ 2.63 ) meaning 1lb of honey = £ 5.26 oh and I work a few doors away from a supplier of jars so no delivery costs.

The main point being that other posters have said it is easier to sell a smaller jar, albeit they are referring to 12oz I suspect the 8oz will also sell easier than a 1lb jar. I would rather that people enjoy the fruits of my bees labour than for me to keep it stored in the garage.

be carefull in prising. There are exceptionally much hobby honey sellers now

That's half the problem around some areas here 1lb jars for £4-£4.25 - my commercial mind wouldnt dream of this and devalue the honey at that as we're selling a premium product! :)
