Help with electric 12 volt please

I have got a Keyfob from china and need to wire it up to
my 12 volt pump system in the van .To pump water,incase you want to now.
Anyways not sure what goes where so thought i would ask

DC 12V.....i got this bit

NO2
COM2
NO2
NO1
COM1
NC1 (is this one a miss print,i thought NO1 ??)

In any of the instructions do they show a circuit diagram.?

At a guess

NO = normally open
NC = normally closed
COM = common

Ie connect to COM and power will go to either NC or NO depending on position of the switch

must be a relay
Normally Open 2
Common 2
Normally Open 2 ? again???

second relay set...
Normally Open 1
Common 1
Normally closed 1

put a volt meter on to test?
or wire your pump with positive being switched via common COM 1 and NO1 or NO2
with negative on other terminal of pump

I take it this is some king of kefob remote opperated relay???

keep fire extingusher to hand
and put an inline fuse between positive common and battery!

Now this made me laugh , it didn't come with any lol This was a cheap import
from china and i doubt they have a glue what instructions are £7.00 including P&P

Its a 2 button keyfob does that help or make any sence

Umm can i use my 12 volt pump battery to run this thing.
it does say 12 v DC is that right ?

I cant post pic at the mo as lost cable for Camera
To be honest there's not a lot to show,its only a bit bigger than a matchbox.
The order of the wire connectors are as in first post.There's no other connectors,and no other wires.Its a bare circuit board with components on and when turned over it gives
Reference to where wires are to go .

Assuming negative earth

wire from 12v+ via a suitable fuse to COM1
wire from NO1 to pump +

wire from earth to COM2
wire from NO2 to pump -

A suitable fuse is one sized to protect the wiring (and incidentally carry the current drawn by the pump) It could be anything from 1A to 50A or more

If the pump runs when it should be switched off and stops when it should be switched on then come back for further instructions.

what do you mean ...Assuming negative earth ?

wire from 12v+ via a suitable fuse to COM1 > is this from the + on the DC12v conector
wire from NO1 to pump + < does the + mean the positive pump wire

wire from earth to COM2 > what earth
wire from NO2 to pump -

You need a supply for the pump, presumably there are two terminals on the pump and its the same voltage as the battery

They need connecting to positive and negative on the battery

If you did just that the pump would run continuously

What you are adding is a device to switch the supply to the pump

So the device goes in between the battery and the pump

The device itself needs a supply, presumably you knew that when you mentioned the "DC 12V" in your first posting.

But maybe you don't know how to connect that, so the question has to be asked

Exactly how many connection terminals are there ?

Is there a 12v DC positive and 12v DC Negative connection as well as the COM/NO/NC terminals mentioned previously?


The reason I mentioned the 'assuming negative earth' was that if the vehicle or whatever has a positive earth then you need the fuse on the negative connection. Fusing on the wrong side can mean the fusing provides *NO * protection.

yes there is a + - DC conectors 12 v
This i thought would be the input power for the circuit board
as well as the as well as the COM/NO/NC terminals mentioned previously?


All power is coming from a 12 volt car battery.Not the main van battery but a battery i take out each night and charge.

Just notice that on com2 it also shows M+and on com1 it shows M-

I have tried all different ways and the most i can get it to do is stay on once i let go of button>hold button turns of ,then let go of button it stays on

What are you pumping the water for WB? I am assuming you are trying to do this sort of remote as with the key fob?

I have all 12v electrics at home and what you are or as it seems to me is a new one on me, we all have pressure switches on the water pumps and accumulator tanks so when say a tap is turned on the pressure drops the pump kicks in.

Hi Tom

I use a 45ft water fed pole ,this is basically a brush on the end of a carbon pole.
The pole has 6ml tubing running up inside of it and the brush has 2 jets fitted.
The water travels up through the pole out the jets as i scrub the windows, then rinse.
Its pure water
At the mo i have a control box that controls the speed of the pump which controls
the flow of the water.But when i have to move about or stop to speak to someone,
the water is still flowing .So Key Fob to Stop/Start the control box
As I'm using this on commercial buildings it's also a safety factor not having to leave it
up against the side of a building so i can turn it all off.

That explains it, at first I thought it perhaps involved someone stuck at the top of a ladder but that system eradicates the ladder. Sorry not able to help beyond simple domestic system. Good look
