I have put a few unwired frames in with vertical bamboo supports, some of which have been drawn out and capped.
I was planning to cut out some of the comb and extract the rest to use the comb to put into jars and top up with honey.
I did this earlier in the year on a couple of frames, but the bees have not filled in the holes as I expected.
Any views on whether I should put the frames back with the cut outs or clear all of the wax so that they have a clean sheet to start on?
