I use a little hand sprayer filled with water + a few drops of thymol solution. I expect air freshener works in a very similar fashion.

The thymol solution is 5ml thymol crystals in 50ml Isopropyl alcohol (aka Manley solution) which I use to stop sugar solution going mouldy in feeders.

I expect air freshener works in a very similar fashion, it probably does Chris. as does lemon grass oil in a spray bottle and thyme essential oils... Any thing to mask both queen's pheromones for a while.

The mix has other medicinal effects - eg nosema- but although I do use it in sugar solution it is purely to stop the solution going mouldy as medicinal usage of an unlicensed product is of course not allowed.
