Hi all. It was a fine day yesterday in London so I took the opportunity to have one last inspection of my hive before winter hits.
I noticed in a few of the outermost frames there seemed to be nectar (or sugar syrup that has been fed) that has fermented and has a white mould on it. I'm pretty certain this is not on the brood or disease of the brood, but solely in small amounts in areas of stored syrup.
If this is the case is there anything I can (or should) do?as winter is upon us I'm worried that leaving fermenting sugar could cause fungal issues over winter?
Advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Will
