The fleecy blanket might keep in the moisture im new to this all. This is my first winter with bees. But the foam isnt ready yet.

If you have made a cosy out of 50mm or more kingspan you do not need that extra super with a fleece blanket in there all it could do is trap the bees imo i would take it of on a nice day but before that change the duct tape for aluminum tape. ;)

Would the blanket hold moisture though millet?

I have a homemade eke on my nuc...a plastic box on top of the Crown board with fondant in....I have put insulation round the sides of the eke and then the cosy over top...

I had considered putting bean bag beans that I have spare in a pillow case over top of feeder but wasn't sure whether material held moisture or not?

Most things will hold moisture the key factor is to stop the moisture in the first place, just imagine warm air hitting a cold surface what happens ? , it condenses like the old single layer windows on a house they steam up with condensation and water runs down onto the sill, with having the outer insulation on the warm air in the hive is hopefully not hitting a cold surface so condensation should not be an issue.;)

I was told today that as bees cluster warmth makes no odds....

Yes well.....
