I have a hived swarm (my own queen, but very small as they were damn nigh inaccessible and over half just sat there and eventually went back in the hive). I am feeding them 1:1 syrup.

As it was still very crowded I also did a split from the original hive with one of its queen cells. Again it’s not big and I am feeding 1:1.

My question is, how long should I keep feeding them? And as they are from the same hive can I give them a frame of honey from the original hive?

Yes you can feed a frame of honey from main hive. If/when nucs are up and running you may even want to transfer a frame of sealed brood to help balance out the colony’s and build the smaller 1s....if you can feed a little 1.1 syrup little and often you will help them build and establish themselves for winter there is plenty of time yet

I would feed until they are obviously storing it. When they have a frame of what looks like nectar or syrup stop feeding as they are obviously not using it all. But keep an eye on them depending on local forage.

IMO little and often will simulate income/flow,when building small nucs at this time of year you want to encourage growth and as much egg laying as poss.
