Hi. We have one full colony and one nuc about 4 weeks since hiving.
Loads of questions.... :sorry:

The full colony (now, after taking some of the honey off) has nearly a full super of honey left on, plus some honey on edges / tops of brood frames which I am leaving for the winter feed.

1. Is this enough food them, or do I need to feed syrup?
2. If I need to feed them, should I treat them first (apilife var this year)
3. Should I leave the super on top or put underneath for the winter? (About 50% capped at moment)
4. If I leave the super on top, should I put the treatment between the two boxes? Or on top of the existing honey?

With regard to the nuc -

1. Should I feed or treat first (Few mites dropping currently).

Thank you.

PS. National hive. Suffolk /UK

I would remove the honey after the main flow and treat before feeding, to early for winter feeding now tho. as for the nuc just keeping feeding weak syrup to help it build up and feed both colonies down first to weeks of September.
