I've stored mine in the bee shed for quite a few years with no problems. Made a large cardboard box which sits over it to keep it clean.

(I am the wife so don't have that honey/wax paraphernalia problem!)
Mine has a piece of balloon fabric tied over the top and is stored in the shed.
I am also the wife.

I wouldn’t recommend putting the wife in the garage/shed, they can do quite a lot of damage when necessary!

Mine is out in the very dry barn with a duvet cover over it and the ball bearing in a small container with some veg oil.
Guy I bought it from said they do rust if you leave it in between harvests.

I’m the wife too! I have to store mine in the loft, in its box. I wash it again before using, just in case. It’s hard work lugging it up and down the stairs. I would love a better model, but space and the weight prohibits this. Husband has the garage for his woodworking tools.
