Can you pls expand on this & explain how you use nadiring a shallow, aside from using to move uncapped stores into the brood box in autumn please?

It's basically a convenient way to get your super combs cleared ready for Spring, while at the same time giving the colony extra space to store that nectar and any feed, Elaine. The bees have the opportunity to deposit a lot more stores up on the brood frames as they have that extra comb to accommodate them temporarily.
