Hi all new to beekeeping and have some questions . I did a Demaree 22 days ago and wondered if its ok to put the Q- broodbox from top to bottom under Q+ broodbox and when is the brood to old for workers to make emergency queens from ?

3/5/8 is the mantra! 22 days is even longer than worker brood so you are safe. if you have not checked the top box you might have virgin queens in it and your original queen might be gone. putting a box like that under the brood box would be disastrous. I would keep it on top until the queen misbehaves again and then exchange them for brood frames from the bottom rotating like that untill the swarm season is over.
 
I have been doing weekly inspections and knocking Queen cells down on top brood box and Queen in lower brood box is laying well as the workers draw the comb . They are on their second season .
