curious observation

A cobbled together hive has a strip of aluminium between the landing board and entrance and the bees have to cross vertical this strip of ally if they land on the board and then walk in....

A lot of them cant walk up vertical aluminium , they try and fall off and then resort to flying. A few succeed on the 2nd go.

Didnt realise Ally was slippy to bees.

They dont walk too well on clean glass and new foundation either.
