I purchased a 5 frame nuc in May and placed it into a National brood box. The
frames in the nuc box had plastic spacers and the brood box frames were new
Hoffman self spacing frames. I would like to replace the old frames so I have all Hoffman frames in the brood box. Any advice please.

Buy some hoffman converters and nail to frames with plastic ends. I think Wynne Jones does the cheapest ones.

Yes
Bailey change in Spring
Or gradually work the frames out
If you really hate those spacers you can replace them with plastic Hoffman spacers. There are two kinds. C Wynne Jones sell ones that go over the lugs and Thorne sell ones that clip into the side bars.
Personally I’d leave well alone now and Bailey in Spring

Leave the frame change until spring...

Pull any without brood in the spring replace with foundation and a bucket of feed job done. If there’s an odd 1 left then stick a converter on as bf suggests

Put plastic spacers on the Hoffman frames. That's what I do
