Some hives and a few nucs
I have used a swi-bine mating nuc for the first time and have a laying queen :hurray: with all 3 frames drawn but they insist on building comb in the feed chamber too. Feeding with ambrosia fondant. How do I stop them filling the feed chamber with comb and what is best to feed them?

Let them fend for themselves. Remember the point is to achieve and test a mated queen.

That's all they are for.

If they have drawn all the 'frames' and want to draw more elsewhere, and she's mated and not firing blanks, isn't that time to move them on into a bigger box?
