went to look to see if i need to add fondant and to start trickle treatment and found at least half of the double brood colonies still in lower box with an UBB full of stores.....

would have thought it has been cold enough and long enough since last feed, for them to be moving into upper box

thoughts?

maybe they are on their way up slowly and have sufficient stores around them

only one thought - they have plenty of stores and don't need fondant, relax
agree.....i gave no fondant, but trickled

6 seams still downstairs surprised me....mind you, have usually trickled in mid to late jan before so may be about right for mid dec, all depends on weather and colony size and stores available etc
