Sat at computers as we are, I am gob smacked that there were a couple of very bad guesses out there that have amused me slightly. I can now see why we're bee keeping and not building rockets though!

Good job the VAT man isn't coming, to check your books guys. Too much alcohol still in the systems?

Oops! , I agree, I looked at the net price and incorrectly set that as the vat inclusive price. I just wish I had alcohol as an excuse.

Now where did I leave that rocket fuel?.....it,s dark in here.......ah! a match.....

I have considered it in the past, but after some thought I decided not to pursue it as a hobby! Just a bit too specialised and I hate destroying one's good kit, just as an experiment. I might join a group to see how far things have progressed in the hobby - thanks for the reminder.

BTW, one can see why the oxalic acid tricklers need the ready-made solutions and an automatic dispenser.

Unfortunaly my profession is probably the closest of most on hear to Rocket Engineer!!!

Well I had an 1 and an 8, that is close enough!

Dam Microsoft calculator. Just done it again and it gave me the answer of £8.825

I clearly remember doing Vat of 15% =£52.95 and 17.5 = £61.76 (both on £353) then some how I got to £1.81?????

Oh and Oliver, yes I do weigh my oxalic to 6 decimal places on the lab balances at work, and use a gravimetric pipette and deionised water for my trickle rather than buy it ready made.

As noted before, a couple of degrees (in science subjects) and a few Charterships to boot, but Dyslexia takes over quite a bit!

(but my VAT books are always perfect!!!! )
