Here is a patch of forage around 100yrd's from the bees behind me is the same again and further again and the nearest OSR is 1.5/ 2 mile away so i think i will have a party:rolleyes: ... they have ignored it when OSR is near but not this year.
The sky and Cherry trees are alive with bees filling there pockets with brown pollen from the Blackthorn i presume and lots of nectar judging by yesterdays inspections, i could not get any cherry tree pictures but this is from today's forage and long may it continue..then onto the thistle/bramble and hawthorn.? .
I have ordered more equipment just incase..:spy:

In a week Hawthorne will be in flower and probably still a better return than oar a few miles away.

Hopefully the Sycamore gets a kick in the butt with this warm weather, it usually does when the cherry trees fade off, we will see , it is the thistle flow i want to see not for honey money .. just to see how mental these bees go when it starts flowering..;)

I jolly well hope so.
The hedges here are groaning with more flower buds than I have ever seen. Please please, weather, play ball for a change?

Good chance I'd say, the last good Hawthorn flow (here) was 2015. That Spring was miserable and wet but things improved in mid May.
What a heady scent at the apiary and such gorgeous honey. The buds on my Rowan are just beginning to open so it won't be far behind.
