Saint David's Cathedral has strong links to beekeeping, it's in their banner and the Saint himself was renowned for promoting beekeeping in his teachings.
The church at Harpury in Gloucester now houses the famous Harpury bee bole.

Brilliant craftsmanship, imagine the hours it took to make that, i destroyed a big sand stone carving years ago worth a few hundred quid (by accident) on a church spire , i laughed at the time , but now i am a bit more mature i hold my head in shame.

Stunning carving ... when you look at in close up the detail on it is simply breathtaking - it's just fantastic that we still have a few real craftsmen left in the country - without being political we should be encouraging at least some of our young people to consider following in the footsteps of such wonderful artisans - although - I know from personal experience that the real value of hand crafted work is very difficult to realise in the face of cheap, machine made, often foreign, items.

6 weeks at 40 hours a week and let's be generous and say £20 an hour ... Nearly £5000 at cost without any overhead ... so should really be double that ? Not many people around that can or will pay that sort of sum - how do you make a living ? Great pity ..

I wonder how many other church's, cathedrals, monasteries have references to bees/beekeeping

Not just religious buildings but used in many other organisations as a sign of unity and hard work.
