Just sat down to eat three boosts that cost £1, what a complete disappointment 31.5g per bar and they look like half a bar.
I've opened the Mars bars and there not much better.
Fair enough boosts are £1 for 4 and Mars 3 bars for £1
But they have just gotten smaller and smaller.
I had the extra big big mac not so long ago and that even looked small.
Im not happy :ROFLMAO::icon_204-2::icon_204-2::judge:

The bars are manufactured to a price. Pound shops have been doing if for years.

Some years ago prior to the split of first and second class post, one of our pub pundits came out with the statement that in general the price of a bar of chocolate tracked pretty closely to the price of a postage stamp. Shaving bits off the contents of a bar would have been sacrelege in those days and fed the national newspapers with headlines for weeks.

A couple of months ago, I recall seeing at least one post on this forum which recommended that honey producers who might have been seen as being over-generous to the customer in their pricing, might use the technique of graduating down to smaller jars yet maintaining the current selling price..

It’s easy, just eat six.

Or go to lidl and get a bar of their nice own brand fruit and nut for 69p.

Both are much alike from family members I believe.
I only mention lidl because it is the nearest to me.
Selby has had an Aldi for years. Lidl noticed and as of a couple of months ago Selby has both. Goole had a Lidl and in a few months they're going to have one of each. Ho hum!

The Daily Mail would have you know that the average MacDonald's cheeseburger is now thumb sized!

But in reality, they can't really reduce the size of a Quarter Pounder (the hint is in the name). Unless they called it a Not-quite Quarter Pounder but that doesn't trip off the tongue quite so well. 😉

What about a 1/3 pounder for the same price....

"More than half of the participants in the Yankelovich focus groups questioned the price of our burger. "Why," they asked, "should we pay the same amount for a third of a pound of meat as we do for a quarter-pound of meat at McDonald's? You're overcharging us." Honestly. People thought a third of a pound was less than a quarter of a pound. After all, three is less than four!" Why No One Wanted A&W's Third-Pound Burger Why No One Wanted A&W's Third-Pound Burger

The Education system has a lot to answer for!

Didn't the film Pulp Fiction answer that though? Two of the characters are talking about the differences between the USA and Europe and one says the Quarter Pounder isn't called that in Paris as the frogs don't know what a Quarter pound is so it's called a "Royale With Cheese". So when the name is changed is when the burger will shrink below a quarter of a pound.

Ah ok. So quarter pounders don't exist anymore?
I obviously don't keep up with the times - haven't been near a MacDonald's in years!

McD's 1/4 pounder is still going strong. As it's the Double 1/4 pounder. Guess calling it 1/2 pounder would be too confusing. Pulp fiction raises more questions than it answers. What is in the brief case ?

Doesn't matter what they call it though it's still just a patty of caca between two slices of styrofoam
With a slice of gherkin for piquancy
