I'm impressed. The Bullfinches usually annihilate ours, eating most of the buds.

My hive is sheltered by two plumtrees but the buds are still green.....as soon as they open I'll put the first super on.

Its a Cherry Plum there are about 20 of them within the orchard

Way down here mine started to flower last Friday and are now in full bloom, so interestingly no difference between us and Somerset - I always did like that part of the UK.

Blackthorn usually starts about a week later.

Are 'prunus' a type of fruit tree then, or just ornamental blossom?
