Just noticed a lot of bees sitting around on the wall by the hive, in little groups of 4-5. They aren't even moving. Any ideas what they're up to?

If you sneak up and listen carefully, you can hear them talking about you! Scary isn't it? :icon_204-2:

Hi daroco,
It may be very young nurse bees from an orientation flight. They tend to sit up the hive wall by the entrance.

Sorry I should have been clearer. It wasn't the hive wall - but a wall beside the hive. It was odd, but thinking about the number and with the way the weather has been that seems a reasonable explanation. Thanks.

was it workers or drones, you know what guys are like in the pub, all chatting about the lack of sex they are getting
