CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO IDENTIFY THE BEES THAT ARE IN MY NEST BOX. THEY HAVE A BLACK SPOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR BACK. I AM POSSIBLY LOOKING TO REMOVE OR RE-SITE THE BOX. OR IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE THEM PLEASE CONTACT ME. I AM IN WIGAN LANCASHIRE.

have they a white tip to the tail? and they are mainly orange/red in colour?
if so, Bombus hypnorum, 'tree bee' foreign import,
block hole at night and move nest, keeping upright, so not to spill nectar from open topped upright cells. you'll get a few returning, as bumbles often stay out for 2-3 nights at a time, so you won't ever get them all at home.
