Not seen this before in the garden, but bees are going mad for water.

In spring I had bees on the compost of all my bedding plants...

Outside in the shade is 20C.

I put wet supers on yesterday for cleaning. Possibly something to do with this?

I'm sure finman says he sprays his with water to help them clean it faster might have read it wrong though :)

Great examples of the sort of water features that the bees find attractive and safe ...

// now if there was some moss there as well ... :)

They also like the sphagnum moss in our pond....

Seriously impressive water feature - Respect! not worthy

Our bees have to make do with an old Belfast sink, although they sometimes seem ambivalent about that and a few prefer the dung heap. Honey tastes ok....

If the bees did not need water then they would not be taking water. Well done on supplying them with what they need. It's a far nicer picture than one of them sucking on a cow pat:)
