Took a few photos of my bees trying to fill a gap on the outside of the supers. They are a bit fuzzy as i did not get the camera in focus before they flew off.

More great pics. Keith.
3rd one shows one bee removing the propolis from another (they can't do this themselves)

Very nice pics thank you.

As always Mr Pierce your photographs are exceptional and educational. Thank you very much!

Clearly they did not relish those extra 'ventilation' holes. I am wondering how wide the gap was at it's widest point?

Great photosnot worthy

the first boxes i made i was really fussy about fitting everything sbugly together. The i realised just how good the bees are at sealing little gaps like this. Nuc building is much faster now ;)

great photos, got to ask did they fill the gap ?

I havent looked at them since, even though i have passed by the hive a hundred times . The next time i will be at them is when i am taking off the supers in about a week. The lime is still in staggered bloom here, and i will be keeping a close eye on it. I take the dog out for a walk in the eveing and walk the estates close to the apairy. Some trees still have about 50% of there buds still closed tightly. These seem to be the younger trees that are only about 20 foot tall

Good one....I wonder know many people actually know what you mean.

THEN YOU WOULD NEED AN EKE TO MAKE UP THE BEE SPACE!
