I tend to wash mine at 30 or 20 with soda crystals and usually does the job except for heavy propolis. I wash with the hood inside the suit and suit zipped up, as per usual.I've just bought a Simon the Beekeeper Professional bee suit as a spare, based on your recommendation. It arrived overnight.
What temperature do you wash your StB suit please? Care label says 30C, which will not clean propolis.
I wash my Sherriff Apiarist suit at 60C.

I suspect my wife may well have washed it at 40 but if I was doing that I'd probably not wash the hood.
Not had the above issue with hoods and starch. Was washing the main suit weekly the season before last and didn't have any neck sting issues.
