I started out just wearing trainers. Then one day I dropped a super, it had only been on a week, so was not very heavy, but the frames rolled out and the bees got grumpy. It did not take long for them to find my ankles.

So from that day onward its been wellies for me

Steel toe capped wellies could also be worth considering if you feel you need toe protection.
