Hi
I lost my bees over winter,
I've used the used brood frames which are full of stores in 1 nuc box and 2 hives .there's a lot of interest by visiting bees , are they on scouting trips or just robbing the stores.

Could be either - but robbing most likely - you do realise the huge potential for spreading disease by leaving out stores from a deceased colony ?

advice is usually that you should use an old but empty comb to attract a swarm rather than stores for lots of reasons including encouraging robbing and spreading disease

i should leave an old empty comb and remove the rest

Thanks for the advice , I put them in a bag in the freezer so I thought they would be sterile
