Well, two weeks ago I agreed to have a small group in my garden from my child's Wilderways environmental group ( with all required COVID-9 controls) and following covid level gov recomendations. Was a bit concerned it would be reduced to a discussion and theory session due to previous weather and predicted weather. However the positive vibes and crossed fingers all combined to make a perfect morning. Temperature 13/14 °C no wind, sun out, a good flow on ( OSR but never mind ) and the calmest bees Ive had the pleasure to inspect. 6 Teenagers, taken to hives in groups of two at a time, calm relaxed inspection, drones seen, queen seen, plenty nectar, pollen, BIAS. Great questions asked, so chuffed. Last inspection a week ago I was still concerned that they were light on stores, today was the Calsberg day, hopefully more of the same over the coming season :)
