I have purchased a pack of 10 Apivar strips and was planning on treating my 2 hives after harvesting the honey, so 2 strips on each hive, and the plan was to retreat in the spring so using a total of 8 of the 10 strips. Date on packet is 01/ 2023 but upon reading the packet it tells you to discard any unused product once the product has been opened.
So my question is, do you guys follow the instructions, has anyone used remaining strips the following spring and if so did you get a mite fall? I know they are not overly expensive but for me it seems such a waste to bin over half the packet.
