Going over to the Costa del Mortgage Debt (well, about 30 miles in up in the mountains) and in as usual will be travelling around.

Are there any beeks in Andalucia? Not planning on going as far east as Murcia, but may be heading out to Cadiz and up towards Sevilla and maybe back to Ubeda.

Second week is completely open, but I'd love to see witness some beekeeping in Spain if at all possible.

PM me if you wouldn't mind showing me (and probably my long suffering other half) around.

Don't know any beeks, but there are lots of hives in the mountains a few miles in from the coast. I used to ride bikes there (serious training), and there were loads of apiaries. The honey is great as the hillsides are covered with flowering herbs all year round.

Anywhere in particular, Rae?

Anyone else know of any beekeepers in the south of Spain? Basically from a bit north of Sevilla down to the Costa del Sol to Huelva and Cadiz and as far as Murcia?

I know that there is a commercial guy further East at Callosa but I haven't been to Spain since 1999 so couldn't tell you if they are still going. View attachment 6724 sorry can't seem to rotate the photo on my phone.
