Yeah, I'm as bad maintaining the pony as I am going to be the hives. That's why I take no notice of little tips and things that I hear.

You will find that with beekeeping - taking no notice of 'tips' is the best action in most cases :D
 
I will try this Tremyfro, and there I was looking for beekeeping advice :) I can cure the pony instead

I realise this is a bit outside the box for some people....i just thought it was interesting that an oil from the tree, which produces a nectar from which the bees can produce a honey with such claims, could kill off the anaerobic organisms which cause such pain for a horse.....clearly a useful addition to the medicine cabinet.
