Just got back from a holiday and hah a look into one and only hive and I think they have gone queenless . I see no signed of eggs, larvae brood of any sort, in fact no space either
All the frames are full with honey and pollen mostly sealed. I have two deeps I the hive for drone culling and even this has being filled..
So... If its is queenless and I can get a frame of eggs is it too late for a new queen to be raised.
Now for to get a frame in there, would require a 45min drive to a beekeep friend, how can I keep this frame in good condition on this trip?
Can I introduce a new queen if I can find one at this time of the year, or just leave them to it and worry about it next spring.
