Just received the following e-mail forwarded from a beekeeper I know in Leicestershire...
"Just for information.
I have found an incidence of AFB in Leicestershire, I cannot tell you the exact location but it is in the 10Km square SK51/61, that covers places to the East of Loughborough up to Queeniborough.
Beekeepers on Beebase that have asked for automatic notification will get emails advising them of this as soon as the incident is loaded to the system.
I will be doing a sweep in the area, so any help you can give me by
advising your members to register on Beebase if they have not done so, and
also to allow me to do inspections in their absence, rather than organise specific times, would be greatly appreciated as if speeds up the process significantly.
