Advice needed please.

Just a slight aside on drones - I found some of the greyest looking drones I have ever seen in a hive with a Getty queen in it the other day, no other known local hive(s) around for them to have drifted in from, possibly from the original open mating ?

Possibly freshly emerged? bees do look a bit grey when they first come out until the spruce themselves up

Same as others, I'm definitely finding more than usual drone numbers
