Hi All,
New to both the forum and beekeeping! In fact just got myself a hive (no bees yet) and some basic equipment and looking to get going.

Join your local Association...is my first advice.
Read some basic books.

I'm a beginner too, just starting my second year. I have found the Haynes Manual of Beekeeping and Ted Hoopers Guide to Bees and Honey very useful. There are also a number of blogs that are well worth following.
 
Just gone through the BBKA Guide and a few online videos!

I'd recommend joining your local association and if possible arranging a mentor to guide you.
