Ok so i inspected today and there seemed to be a lot of drone cells in there. There was worker brood and eggs in the cells in normal formation from what i could see but i was just wondering why there would be so many drone cells.

Queen wasnt clipped, no cells at last inspection but it has been a few weeks since i have been able to inspect due to weather and time,work etc all frames are covered and the colony appears to be at its strongest since i purchased it last year

I undertook a hive inspection today with a view to performing an artificial swarm. i could see no eggs or queen. there were several sealed queen cells. It has thrown me a little as i am not sure that the colony has already swarmed although the hive looked pretty full to me or something has...

i did an insepction yesterday and everything seemed ok although we found several small twigs. have the bees brought these in as they are stuck to frames

why not buy now for next year. metric to imperial or vice versa i am not in an association
