    Alex do what you feel is best for you, but you'll be checking 60 odd frames for queen cells come june (over two hives) and as its your first year. I would stay as you are until your happy with what your doing.

    I think you need to read a little as you go. Also I would get sum help because it seems your going to end up in a mess.

    Just wondering how many mini nucs would you need? for this 30?, and also wont you need to start the frames off on a strong hive to build comb on your mini frames?, it will be late in the season before you start rearing.

    Incubator

    I've done it in an egg incubator around 32 degrees. Should work if you have humidity and temp right. Good fun. seem to be larger Queens as well.
