bee sting allergy had 1 bad reaction while on painkillers,not pleasant,,rash all over trouble breathing,wife got 2 stings 5months apart.1st sting no reaction,2nd sting face swollen,hospital/drip+overnight stay for observation.got allergy test done,now carries4 eppipens .

Only had a severe reaction once ,was on painkillers for back pain at time,rash tongue uncomfortable,verry scarry,lost my confidence did not go near bees for 6 mts .If you do go back to your bees take a friend along for safety.

I found that there is a very easy way to check the slots in the queen excluders. I found 4.3 mm to be the size needed. The shank of a 4.3 mm drill bit can be used to check the spaces. bee-smillie
