    when to inspect ?

    Thank you Barbarian, I last checked the hive on the 3rd of may, and due to my inexperience both hives had lost a big swarm, not unduly worried as the weather is good and for the first time in four years there is a good supply of forage for the bees.

    Greetings, its half past midnight here and I have just returned with our hives which we had to take to an out apiary, question! would it be okay to make an inspection tomorrow or would it be better to let them settle for few days, the day time temps are running at about 30C with wall to wall...

    Swallows.

    Greetings from sunny spain, Happy to report that the swallows nesting on the timber beam in our sun terrace now have five eggs to look after, last year they never built a nest. We also have a great spotted cuckoo in the neighbours false pepper tree, which is in full flower so,happy bees.
