Thanks finnman, how come I am losing so many on mating flights any ideas?

most of them havn't come back check on 3rd week then check yesterday no sign of queens just eggless queen cups.

Thats made me feel alot better, Ill just keep trying.

I live in wolverhampton just north of cyprus.

I have had 15 V Queens from the last grafts I did I have put sum in mating hives and a few in nuc's. I have only had 2 mate. I no we have had bad weather but could I be doing sum thing wrong ? I have grafted another 30 today. If any take has any one got any tips???

I would all so feed them.

sorry to hear that should of told you to put a queen excluder on the botton of the brood box.

I would put her in a nuc with a frame or two and hope you dont get any cast swarms from your main hive.

put them in a bigger box with a frame of brood

don't kill them post them me ill take them off your hands,

why dont you split them in to small nucs add frames from a better colony so they requeen then see what happens, reunite them when there better tempered.

could be? best to get a ladder and check, I would say.

Scout bee's Or a swarm that has just moved in put a bait hive down see what happens or get a ladder check for drones but most likely its scouts.
