    cheapest place for empty nuc's

Obviously you don't understand the difference between advertising and helping. We have to register and log on so offenders can be expunged easily and we have moderators and a reporting system for removing offending posts. Works on all the other forums I use... R2 (did Latin at School but...

    cheapest place for empty nuc's

There's rules and there's rules - we obviously don't want Mr Payne to start a thread on here saying "Paynes are the best" but there can be nothing wrong with a response to a question "where can I get...?" with the answer being a company name or a link to said company. It's not advertising, it's...

Pains poly - size of super runners please

Just bought a new Paynes poly hive (floor, 9" brood box, 2 x supers and a roof) in a recent auction. I know to paint it with Sandtex Smooth and a friendly fellow bidder suggested using a wooden crown board under the roof to stop it getting stuck down. Any other tips'n'tricks before I fill it...

Honey Bee Fayre and Auction - Yalding, Kent

I went. Got a new Paynes poly hive 1/2 price - auction was a bit small but plenty of potential - lots of beginners and villagers - parking was absolutely fine, no 4x4 required - would defo go again next year! R2

    Massive sale day 30th June

ffs - if Mrs Maisey Moore had posted here then that would be advertising, instead someone has put up a link to a useful way of buying cheap kit in the south. R2

Epipens, their use and possible dangers

More likely 'does the casualty have an epipen?' - as a 1st Aider you administer drugs at the risk of being negligent - I am more qualified than a 1st Aider but I would never give any drugs without proper medical guidance. Good luck to anyone here who thinks differently. R2

    No Stores in mky colonies?

Well, finally had a gap in the clouds to look at my bees - topped up the 1:1 syrup on my 2 week old shook swarm - a quick look inside saw brood in all stages so that's ok then. Next took a look at two brood-and-a-half colonies. The first one had lots of bees and NO stores. Oops - on with...
