I read that with sugar cakes bees need to invert the sugar. If apple cider vinegar and citric acid is used it can help to Invert the sugar. Would it be ok to use sugar cakes in that case throughout winter rather than fondant? Has anybody done this succesfully?

so it would set again as ‘soft set’ with tiny crystals?…or just crystalise as normal honey

If soft set honey is overheated to about 50 degrees, does it just resort back to ‘runny honey’. It was left on the heat too long at around 45-50 degrees unfortunately.

Hi, first attempt at rendering my own beeswax. Looks like it has filtered ok and is clean but it has a horrible rotten fleshy smell to it. I have used wax cappings, burr comb and also break offs from bottom of brood which had larvae in it. Am i correct in thinking that any wax with grubs etc...

What would you recommend for long cuff gloves that are robust but still allow ”feel” and withstand some angry bees? Also looking for a recommendation for a new smoker but not over say £50? Thank you 👍
