    Honey Jars

    Wynne jones is the cheapest that i have found taking into account postage and VAT,I think theirs work out to £0.36p a jar. i have trawled the net and they come out top

    Drone cells,more than normal

    Ok so i inspected today and there seemed to be a lot of drone cells in there. There was worker brood and eggs in the cells in normal formation from what i could see but i was just wondering why there would be so many drone cells.

    I have 3 hives in an area,two polpulated nd one empty but the empty one will soon be populated with a colony that i have in a nuc box. How many hives can you comfortably have together please.

    HI, I have looked on flee bay and can get jars for around 40p, is this good or is there anywhere cheaper that i can get them?

    Queen wasnt clipped, no cells at last inspection but it has been a few weeks since i have been able to inspect due to weather and time,work etc all frames are covered and the colony appears to be at its strongest since i purchased it last year

    I undertook a hive inspection today with a view to performing an artificial swarm. i could see no eggs or queen. there were several sealed queen cells. It has thrown me a little as i am not sure that the colony has already swarmed although the hive looked pretty full to me or something has...
