Hi all
I need your collective brains to help me with some examples of (I think it's called) concatenation. Google was no help.
What I mean is, phrases where a change in word boundary changes the phrase meaning. E.g:
pea stalks vs peace talks
Ice cream vs I scream
sea defences vs cedar fences
four candles vs fork handles
In case you want to know why? It's for speech and langauge therapy for a little lad who doesn't make his word boundaries clear.
Thanks to anyone who can come up with any more.
